U.S. women's soccer star Hope Solo entered a not guilty plea in court Monday after her weekend domestic violence arrest in Washington State.

She is accused of assaulting two relatives in a drunken outburst.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist was released on the conditions she avoid contact with her half-sister and a 17-year-old nephew, and that she not drink alcohol.

A pretrial hearing was set for the morning of August 11.

Dressed in a white shirt and black pants, Solo said little, telling the judge "I do" when asked if she understood the domestic violence assault charges against her.

Solo was arrested for domestic violence assault after a 911 call in which a male reported that a woman would not stop "hitting people" or leave the house.

Meanwhile, Solo's 17-year-old nephew is speaking out, telling TMZ that he pulled a gun on the athlete to try to get her to stop attacking him ... to no avail.

The boy told police that Hope appeared to be drunk when she came over to the nephew's Seattle-area home and was upset because she missed a flight.

He says Hope thought he was talking smack about her and became agitated, then told him he would never be a pro athlete because he was "too fat and crazy."

The kid left the room, but Hope followed him and "called me a p--sy because I called my mom ... I then told her to 'get her c--t face out' of my house."

That's when allegedly Hope went on the offensive, the teenager says, grabbing the boy's hair and repeatedly punching him, attacking like an uncaged animal.

"I then went into a back room and got an old gun that does not work, pointed it at her and she kept coming at me," admits the teen, though it didn't do the job.

"She didn't leave but walked around me cornering me like a shark."

The boy says Solo left when he called the cops, only to return a short time later, at which point she started attacking the boy's mom (her half-sister) as well.

Therefore, he "grabbed a broomstick and began hitting her in the head."

For her part, Hope's sister says the weapon was actually a BB gun.

Whatever it was, this sounds like a seriously insane situation.

The Hope Solo 911 call was made early Saturday morning when the U.S. national soccer goalie allegedly attacked her half-sister and her nephew, 17.

"Hope Solo is going psychotic," the caller pleads, apparently under siege from the 32-year-old athlete. "She's f--king beating people up! We need help!"

Police raced to her sister's home outside Seattle and found the sister and nephew with visible injuries; subsequently, Hope was arrested for domestic violence.

Her nephew told TMZ that Solo drunkenly came at him for basically no reason and he pulled a gun (the mom says it was a BB gun) on her to make it stop.

To no avail, the kid says, as Hope - who was also part of a domestic incident with now-husband Jerramy Stevens in 2012 - circled him like a shark.

Monday in court, Solo pleaded not guilty and claims she's the real victim in this. It's unclear how she figures that, as she has yet to explain her side.

A Connecticut man called 911 because someone screwed up his sandwich order. Seriously. Here's the news story about it.

Late in the second half of of Uruguay's opening round World Cup match against Italy today, star striker Luis Suarez appeared to bite defender Giorgio Chiellini.

The following video makes this abhorrent action rather obvious:

Suarez - who has actually gone Mike Tyson on opponents on two previous occasions in his career - was not punished by Mexican referee Marco Rodriguez, despite Chiellini's protests.

The Italian even lowered his jersey to show everyone the bite mark on his shoulder.

Just moments after this incident, Uruguay took the lead on a Diego Godin header and went on to win 1-0, qualifying for the round of 16.

Italy, meanwhile, was sent packing as a result of the loss.

Following the match, Juventus defender Chiellini referred to Suarez's move as "a disgrace" on Sky Sport Italia, calling for FIFA to discipline the star.

FIFA regulations do allow Suarez to be punished retrospectively and it has said it "will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter."

We're not sports historians, but our guess is that Michelle Wie is the first U.S. Open champion to celebrate the victory by Twerking to Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What."

Who can blame her, though. It was a golf triumph nearly 10 years in the making.

Having finally met the highest of expectations, Michelle deservedly let loose.

Wie, who turned pro just before turning 16 and sparked criticism by trying to compete against men even before that, won her first career major golf title Sunday.

Kim Kardashian knows how to shake that formidable a$$ in the pool, as she demonstrated on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Back in January, Brittany Norwood sued Arian Foster, claiming that the Houston Texans' star running back got her pregnant, then refused to pay her medical expenses and attempted to harass her into having an abortion.

Today, Norwood gave birth to Gatsby Alexander Norwood Foster. Not surprisingly, she maintains that the baby looks just like Foster.

According to TMZ, shortly after the delivery, Norwood tweeted, "Gatsby looks identical to my biological father's baby pictures."

Arian is reportedly aware of the birth, but has yet to acknowledge that he is the father. The three-time Pro Bowler claims he has recordings that prove Brittany is lying about at least part of her story.

A paternity hearing is expected to be scheduled in the very near future to determine if Foster is in fact the father.

Thus far, Foster has only addressed the case through his attorney and while the recordings in Foster's possession reportedly prove  that he never tried to force Norwood to have an abortion there is no word as to whether they prove that he never carried on a relationship with the 21-year-old University of Houston senior.

Foster is married and has one child by his wife, Romina Foster, meaning that the arrival of Gatsby could be less than great news for the Texans' fan favorite.

Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock. But she eventually found his replacement: a little guy named Oscar.

Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson's son was killed in 2013, allegedly by Joseph Robert Patterson - a boyfriend of the boy's mother.

Astonishingly, Patterson was freed on $750,000 bond while he awaited trial. That waiting period came to an end today, as Patterson was arrested for allegedly kidnapping the child's mother.

Patterson had been under strict instructions not to contact Peterson or any family members of his son, Tyrese.

Patterson was apprehended in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Tuesday morning and is now being held without bail.

There is still no trial date set for Patterson's murder trial.

Early reports in October of 2013 indicated that Peterson's 2-year-old son was in critical condition after being severely beaten. Patterson was arrested shortly thereafter.

Tragically, Peterson met his son for the first time in the hospital, just days before the boy passed away. The paternity of Tyrese has since been a matter of dispute, as a man named Bobby Ruffin claims to be the child's biological father.

There is no word on yet on when Patterson will be tried for this latest charge.

Peterson has yet to comment on the situation.

U.S. Olympic gold medal-winning soccer star Hope Solo has issued an apology following her shocking domestic violence arrest last week via Facebook.

Solo, 32, was arrested on two counts of domestic violence assault on June 21 after reportedly getting into a fight with her sister and 17-year-old nephew.

On June 23, the athlete pleaded not guilty in court. Her lawyer Todd Maybrown says she is not guilty of any crime, though he declined to comment further.

A recording of last weekend's Hope Solo 911 call was also released.

In April, Andrew Robert Rector fell asleep while attending a baseball game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.

Fast forward a few months, and the uninterested fan has filed a $10 million lawsuit against ESPN because he believes announcers Dan Shulman and John Kruk directed an “avalanche of disparaging words" in his direction after he zonked out in the fourth inning.

In his filing, Rector accuses the pair of painting an inaccurate portrait of him, specifically one of a "fatty cow that need two seats at all time and represent symbol of failure."

Rector also says Shulman and Kruk depict him as a "confused individual that neither understands nor knows anything about history and the meaning of rivalry between Red Sox and New York Yankes," while indirectly labeling him as a "socially bankrupt individual."

Devin Langford, a drunk man in custody, tried to urinate out of the rear passenger side window of a moving police car because he was drunk. It did not go as planned.

Well, that didn't go as planned for the home team.

Brazil was positively destroyed by Germany in the World Cup today, falling 7-1 in the semifinals after the Germans scored a record-tying five goals in the first half alone.

Four of their scores came in a seven-minute span.

Thomas Muller opened the onslaught with a goal off a corner kick in the 10th minute, as Miroslav Klose broke the all-time World Cup scoring record 12 minutes later.

L'Oréal is the world's biggest beauty company, but sources say it has not yet signed Despiegelaere to be an official brand ambassador.

Michael Phelps might be best known racking up gold at the Olympics, but it looks as though the record-breaking swimmer might be qualified for a second career as a nude model.

Phelps stripped down for ESPN Magazine's annual Body Issue and while the Baltimore Bullet may be semi-retired from the world of competitive swimming, from the looks of it, he hasn't been neglecting his gym duties. 

Phelps dated Win McMurry, and played the field with a number of other women since dominating the Beijing Olympics way back in 2008, and it's not hard to see why he's been able to attract the pool groupies. 

With no major competitions on the horizon, Phelps is no longer obligated to remain aerodynamic, so he must have shaved his unfortunate mustache simply because, well..it looked really weird.
