Dwight Howard may be facing the most scandalous double team of his career.

A 16-year old who simply goes by "Debbie" on Twitter posted a number of text message this week that seem to imply she had a romantic relationship with the Houston Rockets center.

In one texts to a friend, Debbie says Howard "cheated" on another woman, seemingly with her, writing how he "flew" her around the country.

In another, apparently directed to Howard himself, Debbie goes off on the star for ignoring her during the recent NBA Playoffs.

And in the most damaging piece of evidence, Debbie references photos of her being Dwight's "princess," actually posting two of them online.

The images appear to depict Howard in a hotel room with two very young women, laughing and holding the hand of one.

Sadly, we haven't heard the last of Donald Sterling.

Just a few days after saying he was all for the Los Angeles Clippers being sold to Steve Ballmer, the estranged owner of this NBA franchise has now done a 180.

Forget receiving $2 billion in a sale. He wants to sue the league for $1 billion.

Saying how his client “must fight to protect [his] rights,” Sterling’s lawyer released a statement last night saying Sterling never wanted to sell the franchise.

He's being forced into the deal by Commissioner Adam Silver, who banned Sterling for life after multiple recordings of Sterling being totally racist went viral online.

Silver also said he would convene the 29 other owners to vote and force a sale by Sterling.

Before this vote could take place, however, Ballmer swooped in with a $2 billion offer and it was accepted by Sterling's wife.

All seemed to be going as smoothly as possible, given the situation... until now.

"While my position may not be popular, I believe that my rights to privacy and the preservation of my rights to due process should not be trampled," Sterling said in his statement. "I love the team and have dedicated 33 years of my life to the organization. I intend to fight to keep the team."

This is good for celebrity gossip outlets and radio talk shows.

It's far less good for players on the Clippers.

Amy Van Dyken Rouen, an Olympic gold medalist in swimming, severed her spin in an ATV accident in Show Low on June 6.

She was airlifted to a nearby hospital and told emergency workers on the way that she could not move her feet or feel anything on her legs.

A letter from the Van Dyken and Rouen families said that Amy's spine was severed along the T11 vertebrae and the fracture came within millimeters of rupturing her aorta. 

Van Dyken Rouen is in good condition according to hospital spokesperson Alice Giedraitis.

A police report obtained after the crash said that Van Dyken Rouen was driving an ATV which hit a curb in a restaurant parking lot sending her over a 5 to 7 foot drop-off.

She was found unresponsive on the ground near the ATV by an onlooker who saw the accident happen. 

Van Dyken Rouen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and her husband, former Denver Broncos punter Tom Rouen, said he'd recently done some work to their ATV.

There is no report as to whether or not the accelerator change was a factor in the crash.

Amy Van Dyken first splashed onto the scene in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

She became the first female athlete to win four gold medals in a single games. She took home the gold for both the 50- and 100-meter freestyles and competed as part of the two winning relay teams in the 400 free and 400 medley events.

In Sydney in 2000, she won two more gold medals in the 400 free and 400 medley relay events, bringing her grand total to 6 gold medals.

In a statement issued following Van Dyken Rouen's accident, USA Swimming said:

"The USA Swimming family is devastated to learn of Amy Van Dyken's unfortunate accident this weekend. We're happy to hear that she escaped and is now in great care. That she is already 'acting like her typical spunky, boisterous, ebullient self' shows she's on a great path. Amy is a champion who has proven throughout her life that she is a fighter who takes on challenges and comes out on top. We know Amy will tackle her rehabilitation with vigor and be back on her feet sooner rather than later."

For a royal appearance on behalf of Britain's bid for the America's Cup 2017 at London's National Maritime Museum, Kate Middleton looked the stunning part.

"She was asking lots of technical questions; she knew her stuff," the sailor said. "We were all sharing sailing stories, and I think her sailing comes from her family."

Ainslie didn't elaborate won hether Middleton relayed the tale of how she beat husband Prince William in sailing during their April 2014 tour of Australia.

He did express his gratitude for having the Duchess' support.

"It means a lot to have her here," he said. "We're a British team so to have Her Royal Highness behind the team really gives us a new sense of pride."

Tony Gwynn, a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and one of the best hitters in the history of the national pastime, died this morning at the age of 54.

The San Diego Padres, for whom Gwynn played and accumulated 3,141 hits from 1982-2001, confirmed his death on its official Twitter feed Monday.

"We are terribly sad to say goodbye to our teammate, our friend and a legend, Tony Gwynn. Rest in peace, Mr. Padre," the team posted just moments ago.

The baseball legend had been battling salivary gland cancer, a fight he began in 2009 when a malignant tumor was removed from his right cheek.

Gwynn claimed that the cancer in the salivary gland was a result of his longtime habit of chewing tobacco. The cancer returned twice after 2009.

He underwent surgery in early 2012; in each case Gwynn valiantly fought back with the positive attitude, patience and resolve he showed on the field.

Gwynn's physical appearance - not even 6' and over 200 pounds - defied his athleticism; his frame was a self-described "body by Betty Crocker."

Tony attended college at San Diego State University (SDSU), where he starred in both baseball and basketball, setting records for the Aztecs.

He went on to coach SDSU baseball after retiring from the Padres, for whom he hit .338 career and never below .309 in any full MLB season.

Gwynn was married to Alicia Gwynn, and is the father of R&B artist Anisha Nicole and MLB outfielder Tony Gwynn, Jr. of the Philadelphia Phillies.

For a company that flies all around the world, Delta may wanna work on its knowledge of geography.

The airline sent a congratulatory Tweet to the United States World Cup team yesterday after that squad's exciting 2-1 opening round victory over Ghana.

The message included a photo of the Statue of Liberty to represent America and a picture of a giraffe to represent Ghana.

The only problem? Not a single giraffe resides in Ghana.

In fact, Twitter user @dcGisenyi determined that the image used in the Delta Tweet was actually a stock portrait of a giraffe at the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya... which is located 3,000 miles away.

The Tweet was quickly deleted, but not before it became fodder for both humor and anger online.

“I'm guessing that when you book a flight to any of Nigeria or Kenya or the Ivory Coast or Ghana, @Delta tickets just say 'Africa, whatever,’” wrote @bruce_arthur, while @tomgara added:

"Delta social media expert is lining up some *sweet* images of Barcelona for the USA - Portugal game on Sunday."

Delta did apologize for the mistake, as spokeswoman Kate Modolo told The Huffington Post by phone:

"The original tweet was made in the spirit of the World Cup. We apologized for the photo, but at this point it's been replaced and that's where we're at."

It could be worse, of course. Delta could have gone the way of US Airways and sent out a photo of a toy airplane inside a woman's vagina.

Naya Rivera and Big Sean called it quits while rumors that he cheated took the celebrity gossip blogosphere by storm.

Hope Solo has been arrested for domestic violence, police confirm.

The U.S. national soccer team goalie is accused of beating up her sister and her nephew, according to police, during a huge party at her home in Seattle.

Police say when they arrived to Hope's home, things were already getting out of hand. The Seattle Times is describing it as an "out of control situation."

Hope allegedly got into an argument with her sister and nephew at the party and ended up attacking them so hard that "visible injuries" were inflicted.

One of the victims, Hope's nephew, is only 17 years old. Officials also say the person who called 911 told the operator a female was "hitting people."

Solo was "intoxicated and upset" when cops arrived and got arrested on two counts of domestic violence assault. She was booked at a local police station.

Hope, 32, is due in court on Monday morning.

You may recall that this Is not her first brush with domestic abuse; Jerramy Stevens, her then-boyfriend was arrested for allegedly assaulting her in 2012.

He was later released for insufficient evidence and was never charged with any crime; Solo married Jerramy Stevens just days after that melee.

She also accused Dancing With the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy of hitting her during rehearsal for the ABC show during her stint on it that year.
