Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has finally settled his divorce from Siohvaughn Funches, reaching a financial settlement with her six years after they split.
Wade's attorney said that the athlete "provided a very generous settlement" to Siohvaughn Funches Wade, who he filed for divorce from in 2007.
The NBA star was awarded sole custody of their two sons in 2011.
The divorce was brutal, to put it mildly. Siohvaughn was even arrested at one point last year for allegedly attempting to abduct their children.
She subsequently accused Dwyane of leaving her homeless and all sorts of bad parenting, like depriving the kids of life-saving medication.
Last Friday, Siohvaughn Funches took to the streets of Chicago with a sign that read, "NBA Miami Heat star, mother of his children on the streets.”
The 31-year-old Wade claims he's been paying her a substantial $25,000 a month, and also paid for her mortgage and four cars over the years.
As for custody, that fight continues. Funches still wants visitation again with their kids, but a court has yet to rule on whether or not to give it to her.
