The start of the New York Jets season is either off to a terrific start or a terrible start... depending on your view of Geno Smith.
The team's starting quarterback is out a minimum of six weeks after breaking his jaw due to a teammate's locker room sucker punch.

Describing the altercation between Smith and reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali, Head Coach Todd Bowles told reporters this afternoon:
"It was nothing to do with football. ... It was very childish. He got cold-cocked ... sucker punched, whatever you want to call it, in the jaw. He's got a broken jaw, a fractured jaw."
Enemkpali was released immediately after the incident.
Smith, who ranked last in the NFL over the past two seasons in touchdown-to-interception ratio and also last in competition percentage, will undergo surgery.
He has vowed on Instagram that he'll be "back," though plenty of Jets fans out there probably want him to take his time.
"The team knows it. It's something we don't tolerate, something we can't stand," Bowles said. "You don't walk up to a man and punch him in the face."
