Cleveland Browns Change Helmet to Different Shade of Orange, Remain Mediocre at Football

The Cleveland Browns of the National Football League revealed revamped logos today with a richer orange color and a brown face mask on the helmet.

The team's goal? To "honor tradition and provide modern edge."

Apparently that means a slightly brighter shade of orange and new lettering with a "cleaner, simpler, elegant" feel. Watch the f--k out now, AFC North!

Cleveland Browns New Helmet, Logo

Amazingly, the subtle changes to the moribund franchise's gear are the result of a two-YEAR rebranding project, team president Alec Scheiner said.

Contrary to erroneous media reports, Scheiner did not personally the design the new look using Instagram filters 30 minutes before the press conference.

The team claims it plans to "move the uniform farther ahead than the logo" at an April 14 unveiling at the Cleveland Convention Center, however.

Asked if the new uniforms, traditionally brown, orange and white, will have a fourth color, such as a metal gray, Scheiner said everyone must wait.

How can we, though!?

The primary focus of the helmet logo, Scheiner said, is honoring the Browns' tradition and matching the helmet's structure with the team's identity.

The Browns are the only NFL team whose primary logo is their helmet. In other words, a color. Orange. But hey, now it's a newly-repainted orange.

According to the team, the 2015 shade of orange is symbolic and significant, as it's "brighter and richer and matches the passion of our fans and city."

"The brown is unchanged."

Also unchanged? Ohio's terrible weather, Johnny Manziel's rehab stint and the team's chances of making their first Super Bowl appearance (not good).
