Only the Detroit Lions, folks.
Only the Detroit Lions could lose even when they win.
In the first quarter of yesterday’s impressive 19-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers, linebacker Stephen Tulloch celebrated an impressive defensive effort by him and his colleagues.
He made some kind of hand gesture. He leaped in the air. And then he came down awkwardly on his left, injuring his ACL so badly that he never returned to the game.
Watch the LOL action now:
We feel (a little) bad for Tulloch, but we also thank him for the much-needed laughter.
With that Ray Rice video seared into our brains, and with Adrian Peterson abusing his child while seeming not to even care, it's been difficult to watch the NFL these days with a smile on our faces.
So thank you, Stephen Tulloch. Thank you for bringing some joy back into the game.
Even if the result was anything but joyful for you. Way to take one for the team!
