CoverGirl has created a picture that says 1,000 words.

And none of them are positive when it comes to the NFL.

As the official beauty partner of the league, CoverGirl opened the 2014 season by releasing a number of posters that encouraged female fans to get their “game face on.”

With the help of CoverGirl cosmetics, of course. It seemed like a great marketing campaign ... before the Ray Rice video in which which he knocked out his fiancee.

Questions arose over why Commissioner Roger Goodell - already under fire for Rice's modest two-game suspension - needed TMZ to find this footage for him.

The league ultimately suspended Rice indefinitely, but the public remains furious, and one fan used Photoshop to alter the look of the CoverGirl model.

Can you spot the change in the Ravens-inspired ad?

With the former Baltimore running back now cut from the team - and with many wondering what Goodell knew and when he knew it - the image has gone viral.

As the epidemic of domestic violence permeates the league, and culture in general, the image has been re-Tweeted a number of times, along with hashtags like #BoycottNFL and #GoodellMustGo.

Says CoverGirl in a statement to E! News:

"As a brand that has always supported women and stood for female empowerment, COVERGIRL believes domestic violence is completely unacceptable."

"We developed our NFL program to celebrate the more than 80 million female football fans. In light of recent events, we have encouraged the NFL to take swift action on their path forward to address the issue of domestic violence."

Your move, Roger Goodell. Wherever you are.

Since this video has surfaced and Rice has been cut by the Ravens, Adrian Peterson of the Vikings has been accused of beating his four-year old son.

As a result, the embattled league continues to deal with controversy over its players' personal lives and how it responds to these kinds of heinous incidents.

LIAR!
Lance Armstrong denied it and denied it, but he eventually came clean: yes, he cheated to win every Tour de France.
