Paul George scored 37 points last night, leading the Indiana Pacers to a Game 5 win over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
But the 24-year-old NBA All-Star didn't have much time to savor this victory, as he woke up this morning to a lawsuit.
The New York Post confirms that Daniela Rajic, a 24-year old stripper who slept with George a little over nine months ago, filed a paternity suit against the baller in Manhattan Family Court this week.
Rajic worked at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami when she met George, with insiders saying the two did date for a few months.
But the relationship ended… Rajic revealed she was pregnant… and a paternity test confirmed that the daughter born on May 1 does, indeed, belong to George.
"As Paul has said all along, if and when the legal process confirms that the baby is his, he will fully embrace his responsibilities as a father," his rep said.
"He will provide emotional and financial support to the child. The process has been amicable and we hope it will continue to be until this issue is clarified."
Earlier this year, George denied a claim that he offered Rajic $1 million to abort the baby. Details of the lawsuit (i.e. the amount Rajic is demanding in child support) are unclear.
George was also in the news for ... other reasons this year:
The Pacers season is on the line Friday in Miami, meanwhile.
Down 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, Indiana needs a win over LeBron James' two-time defending champion Heat to extend the rivalry to a seventh game.
Good luck with that, you guys in blue and gold.
Between George's sexual dalliances, Roy Hibbert's fragile psyche and Lance Stephenson ... existing, the distractions are really starting to pile up.
Although they sure can be funny.
